About the Artist
Growing up in a woodland countryside of northern lower Michigan, I spent many days engrossed in the stories and art of comic books and Sunday funnies. Coupled with the daytime escapades to my mother's office at a publishing house where she works as a graphic designer it's no wonder I found myself drawn to the art world.
My work focuses on narrative and personal experience. I enjoy telling stories and creating compelling characters.
More than six years of design and illustration internships, professional experience, and education have cemented my passion for both graphic design and narrative storytelling.
I graduated from Alma College in 2016 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Illustration and a minor in New Media.
I then studied abroad at the University of Dundee in 2018, gaining more experience in the design field and living in another country.
My employers include Alma College, Northern Lakes Economic Alliance, Top of Michigan Trails Council, Up North Trails, Harbor House Publishers, and the non-profits Gratiot County Animals in Need and Habitabby.
